My Garage Roof In Huyton Has Been Leaking For Years. What Is The Right Fix?
For a flat garage roof that keeps coming back, a GRP fibreglass or EPDM rubber roof is the proper long-term answer. Both are seamless systems with a 25-30 year lifespan. Patching felt buys time but the underlying material is past its life. We come out, survey the deck, and quote the replacement properly.
It depends on what we find when we go up. If the tiles are still sound but the ridge and valleys have failed, targeted repairs are the right call. If the tiles are shedding, the valleys are corroded and the felt underneath is shot, a full re-roof in modern concrete tile makes more financial sense than repeated patchwork. Chris photographs everything and tells you his honest read.
A significant proportion of Huyton’s housing was built for the council and has since passed into private ownership. We are familiar with the housing types, tile profiles and specifications common in L36. If materials are non-standard or discontinued, we source the closest like-for-like match and show you the options.
Call 07933 828 045 and we will get out to make it watertight first. We then provide a written report with photographs documenting the damage, which you can submit to your home insurer. Storm damage is typically covered under buildings insurance; wear and tear is not. We deal with this regularly.

A standard single garage flat roof in GRP fibreglass takes one day. A larger rear extension or bay roof takes one to two days. The area is stripped, the deck is checked and any rotten boards replaced, then the fibreglass is laid in one go. You get a seamless, watertight result by end of day.
